Megan Benoit, MSN, FNP-C, APRN, RNFA
Megan is Dr. Williams’ nurse practitioner. Under his direction, she sees patients, provides pre- and postoperative education and care, visits patients in the hospital and rehabilitation facilities, and assists in surgery. She believes in a holistic approach to patient care and listens carefully to patients’ concerns, needs and opinions.
The Ocala native has worked as a nurse in hospital-based surgical, orthopedic and trauma progressive care units but felt she “needed more”. That translated to becoming an even greater part of the process – helping some patients prevent surgery and helping those who need surgery to get through it more easily. “My nursing philosophy is to treat the whole patient, and I feel my patients are very receptive to that. For some patients it’s enough to be able to walk without pain. For others, it’s getting back to their active lives, playing golf and enjoying more of the things they love. I believe you help tailor their treatments to what they’re looking for. I always put patients first.”
Megan received her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Southern Alabama, Mobile, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Central Florida, Orlando.
She enjoys fishing, bowling and spending time with her family.
