Megan Benoit, MSN, FNP-C, APRN, RNFA
Megan works in collaboration with Dr. Williams, seeing patients, providing pre- and postoperative education and care, visiting patients in the hospital and rehabilitation facilities, and assisting in surgery.
The Ocala native has worked as a nurse in hospital-based surgical, orthopedic and trauma progressive care units but felt she “needed more”. That translated to becoming an even greater part of the process – helping some patients prevent surgery and helping those who need surgery to get through it more easily.
She believes in a holistic approach to patient care and listens carefully to patients’ concerns, needs and opinions.
“My nursing philosophy is to treat the whole patient, and I feel my patients are really receptive to that. For some patients it’s enough to be able to walk without pain. For others, it’s getting back to their active lives, playing golf and enjoying more of the things they love. I believe you help tailor their treatments to what they’re looking for. I always put patients first. Working with Dr. Williams and our AOI patients has been an amazing experience.”
Megan received her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Southern Alabama, Mobile, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Central Florida.
In her spare time she likes to go fishing, bowling, and to the beach.
